Working with workshops is a bit like finding a partner.
You have to search, try things out, be patient… and when you find someone who sews well, understands what you're asking for and delivers, you have to look after them like gold.
Because the world of workshops is complicated.
Very complicated.
And it's also magical.
Behind every garment are people who know how to do something you can't just learn by watching: how to sew.
A straight seam, a well-set collar, a sleeve that hangs just as it should, a lining placed correctly, a clean finish…
It looks easy.
It isn't.
That's why, for us, a good workshop isn't simply someone who makes garments. It's a professional who knows the craft, understands fabrics, knows how to read a pattern, and has the experience needed to make a garment turn out exactly as it should.
And then there's the magical part.
After a lot of work, a design arrives, a sketch, an idea…
And that's where the real challenge begins: bringing it to life in a garment.
Because between a drawing and a garment there are many hours of work, knowledge and experience. And only good professionals know how to interpret an idea and turn it into reality.
Magic? A little.
Craft? An awful lot.
And after so many years working in this world, we know that finding good professionals is one of the most important —and hardest— parts of our job.
Because a good idea can exist on paper.
Making it real and getting it perfectly sewn is a whole other story.
